Roblox and Gucci Collaborate On New Virtual Gucci Garden
Concept Art House is thrilled to share that we contributed our services to the recent collaboration between metaverse pioneers Roblox and iconic fashion brand Gucci.
The collaboration between these two companies brings a Gucci Garden to life in the virtual world. Much like the physical Gucci Garden Archetypes installation in Florence, this Gucci Garden immerses visitors in the universe of creative director Alessandro Michele.
The two companies unveiled the virtual experience on 17 May on Roblox. Much like the actual Gucci Garden, this online incarnation lets visitors explore multiple rooms that pay homage to Gucci’s iconic campaigns. Only this time, visitors are not restrained by the laws of physics.
The nature of this collaboration highlights Roblox’s capabilities just as much as it promotes Gucci fashion. Roblox is encouraging users to invest in digital items such as clothes. In fact, CEO David Baszucki wants you to spend just as much on your avatar as you would in real life.
“We really believe everyone on our platform will ultimately be who they want to be and who you want to be. Avatar is very important,” said Baszucki. “It’s whatever we can imagine. We’re building… a system where any piece of clothing works on any avatar.”
In the Roblox Gucci Garden, visitors can mingle with other people exploring the area. They can also buy digital pieces created alongside Roblox creator Rook Vanguard. Aviators can then wear these clothes in other Roblox worlds and experiences. Roblox has previously offered clothes for purchase during an experience at a Lil Nax X virtual concert. That event earned 36.9 million visits, and merch sales soared past the seven-digit mark.
Concept Art House is proud of our partnership with the Roblox brand. We are privileged to play a small part in bringing their innovative vision to the masses.
